Holy wow! I wish I could give them more stars!Their steaks are to die for...! Baked Potatoes the size of Texas! Everything cooked to perfection. You might think they’re pricey, but the portion size of everything makes it well worth it. Last time I was there, we had to look for a near by hotel.... that’s how stuffed we were... we would’ve nodded off driving back to Chicago!

My go to celebration spot! Awesome steaks, salads, and of course those lobster tails! What a unique spot with some history! Make sure to go upstairs after your meal and check out the old hotel.

Atmosphere – 3.5 StarsOverall Service – 4.5 StarsFood taste – 4.5 StarsFood presentation – 4.0 StarsPricing – $$$ ExpensiveSummary – For a restaurant to last over 170 years, they must be doing something right, and they are. I ordered the porterhouse medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and there are not a lot of seasoning because you don’t need it. The tenderness of the steak just melt in your month and leaving you wanting more. I ate that own steak by myself feeling satisfy. Highly recommend and lobster tail for 11.00 more and their bake potato with a wedge of butter is to die for. Everything is perfect and after a great meal, you can walk it off by visiting their museum up on second the third floor. Will come back again.

Questions & Answers

This was posted on their page January 22nd. We are working to get the doors to the Wilmot Stage Stop open again soon! Our family is eagerly learning about all the traditions. This project has been exciting for our family and team. We do not have an opening date as of now, but will keep everyone posted as we look forward to the big day! Thank you for all your continued support! The Cantwell Family & Staff

Don't know the answer. Sorry.

Hi Kristal, Thank you for your question, unfortunately gift certificates must be purchased at the restaurant. WSS

Yes

Power outage.

We always just walk in. There's usually a small wait but there's a bar to sit at in the meantime.

No you can't bring your own wine. Not sure about corking fee. But they DO TAKE credit and debit cards now! It used to be cash only cuz the old owner couldn't decide on whether or not to pay for the machine and the business can NOT charge the customer the fee.

Yes

Never asked. But type of food served would say no as probably be cold by the time you got home. Best to eat there and experience the atmosphere.

They are doing a soft opening, call ahead
